1 day – Intensive Beginners Sewing
Our popular 1 day beginners sewing course aims to give you the skills you need to start making things for yourself as well as the confidence to progress.
You will learn how to use a sewing machine and use a selection of the stitch functions to create 3 separate projects all in 1 day.
We are currently not running any classes for the foreseeable future, however please feel free to add your name to a waiting list if you would be interested in taking part should we reinstate lesson in the future. Please email beautifulthingshq@gmail.com
Alternativly the course is available to purchase as an online course for just £30 and gives you unlimited access to all video tutorials (professionally filmed) to work through at your own pace with support included
Description
You will also learn how to accurately pattern cut, measure and piece your work. Insert a zip, and quilt, whilst working at your own pace, to make a quilted fabric box a zip cushion and a beautiful tote/shopping bag. This class has a maximum of 4 pupils at any one time ensuring you receive an extremely high level of tuition and support.
The class is suitable for anyone over the age of 12 (12 – 13 year-olds must be accompanied by a full paying adult).
The class takes place from our home studio in Billericay. We are easily accessible via public transport and there is parking available. (PLEASE CHECK YOUR CONFIRMATION EMAILS FOR DETAILS OF THIS).
All materials, machines and equipment are provided for this class. Please bring a packed lunch, refreshments will be available all day.
You will receive access to online video tutorials and written instructions for all 3 projects (RRP £40) so that you can replicate them at home after the class. These are also available to purchase and study at home if you are unable to make an in-person class. Find out more HERE.

This is a first class course, taught in a demystifying and engaging way.
