Beautiful Things offers classes and workshops in a number of crafts. Both in person in our studio space in Essex and also online. No matter where you live in the world we can teach you the crafts you want to learn.

We specialise in Sewing, Dressmaking and Crochet but also offer sessions in many other crafts including activities such as knitting, embroidery, furniture restoration and paper crafts.

Whether it’s a one-off workshop or a course of lessons you are looking for, Claire Mackaness and her team will ensure you have a fun and satisfying time learning to be successful at your chosen craft and walk away with an item to be proud of.

Claire is a champion of #metime and regularly raises funds for MIND the mental health charity. If you need some rest and relaxation and a little bit of an escape from the daily grind then BTHQ is the place to get it.

Our door is always open and the kettle is always on, whether you wish to craft or just sit still for 5 minutes!
